Brilliant!,
This is a lovely, very attractive poster. It’s on nice poster paper, has plenty of whitespace for framing, and arrived in mint condition. It’s a nice size; not too small to be appreciated, not so big it’s overbearing. Perfect for hanging over any nasty cracks in your bedroom wall.

|Sci fi and art,
Do you look at this as a piece of art or fan boy devotion? I’m going to say both and oddly on both channels it works. From the final adventure of the 5th season of Doctor Who, the BBC’s series about a time travelling alien with a fondness for earth, it is a reproduction of a `lost’ Van Gogh painting that tells the Doctor’s various companions their friend is in real trouble.
I will admit that until the episode in which the Doctor helps the troubled Dutch artist fight a monster only he can see, I really didn’t like Van Gogh’s work. I saw it as garish and crude compared to my preferred style such as Rembrandt or the Hudson Valley School or Monet, but during the episode the actor playing Vincent explains, while gazing up at the night’s sky, how he sees different colors there, not just black but blues and purples blending together. After that I had to go back and really look at Van Gogh’s work. I still see some of it as garish but now I can see many more levels to it.
With that knowledge this faux Van Gogh suddenly becomes far much more than you’d expect. The swirleing colors of blue and yellow take on a life of their own just as “Vincent” explained. I’m pretty sure I’m too old for it to be in my living room, my wife would freak, but given to a child who enjoys doctor Who, it will serve not only to remind them of a great TV show, but it might just make them think about art too.
A lot of people seem to be having trouble with the poster quality so I’d be very careful when opening the packet, in case you need to return it.

|Posters are cool!,
While the vendor selling this poster was a terrible vendor, the product itself is actually really awesome! The quality of the poster is good and really, this is a must-have for any DW fan. In my case, I plan to get a simple black frame for it and hang it in the man cave.
If you’re on the fence about it, definitely get it – you won’t be disappointed. …Just avoid buying from PosterRevolution at all costs.
